Frequently asked questions
I can’t see the hallmark on my jewellery?
Not all of my jewellery is hallmarked. If it weighs under 7.78g then it doesn’t legally require a hallmark. See my hallmarking section here for more information. My bracelets are hallmarked and typically the mark will be on one of the jump rings either by the clasp or the jump ring that the clasp connects in to. It is very small though so will only be visible under a magnifying lens.
How quickly are items dispatched?
I aim to dispatch items within 3 working days. More information on delivery can be found here.
How should I care for my jewellery?
To keep your jewellery looking as good as new, avoid spraying perfumes, hairspray or lotions near them as chemicals can cause them to tarnish. Avoid wearing the item in the shower, swimming pool or whilst bathing. Remove your jewellery before using household cleaning agents. Ensure your jewellery is the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. When not being worn you can store your jewellery in a small ziplock bag to keep it away from the air and slow tarnishing down. Minor tarnish can cleaned off with a silver polishing cloth.
What is fine silver?
Fine silver is 99.9% silver. So for every 1000 parts, 999 are pure silver and the remaining 0.1% is trace impurities. Fine silver has less copper content than traditional sterling silver, so is slower to tarnish.
I can’t see the necklace length I need?
I currently only stock 18 and 20 inch chains. If you would like a different length, please message me and I will order one in for you. This will incur a small extra cost.
I’ve changed my mind, can I return my item?
Yes you can if it is within 14 days of receipt, please see here for more details.
Is silver clay real silver?
Yes! Once the clay is fired, the fine silver particles have fused together and the resulting piece is 99.9% silver. This is hallmark quality silver and due to its purity is a lot slower to tarnish.
